Let us receive the blessing of Your spring—
Your living water flows with Spirit’s breath—
And listen to Your glory angels sing
As You in us now conquer human death,
A punishment for sin since Eden born
But meant to die with You on Calvary’s hill,
As You with life adorn Your crown of thorns
And death turned back upon itself is killed.
It’s left in grave as You with all us rise
From water of Your spring that’s made us clean—
No longer by the Devil’s cloak disguised—
And we are now who we have always been
In Your eyes–who we’re always meant to be;
With eyes wide open to Your truth we see.

Free to Love
Now we can leave our sin behind,
Remember it no more.
In Jesus our new life we find;
He’s opened up the door.
We step without and leave our grave,
Breathe Resurrection’s air
As all creation in Him saved
In beauty bright and fair.
Now hand-in-hand we walk within
And know no limits here;
No longer fenced in by our sin,
His truth we now see clear.
With angels we all sing His praise–
By Father, Spirit blessed.
With Father’s Son we all are raised–
Forever saved from death.
His Cross a Ladder
How desperately we try to build
A ladder to the sky—
To heaven storm by our self-will
And in the end we die.
When we at last abandon all
And ask for grace to see,
Our eyes behold a ladder tall;
To it we bend our knee.
For ladder is a Cross with Him
Who came to all us save;
He’s for us born in Bethlehem—
With Cross descends to grave.
And when He rises with His Cross,
A ladder it becomes
To save the world that we had lost,
And our sin is undone.
Then on His back He each one lifts
With Him to ladder climb,
And we receive the greatest gift
As earth and heaven rhyme.
Chasing After Wind
Is chasing after wind the sum of life—
All we expect from birth to death in time—
Or is there midst this dark wind heaven’s light
That sees us through the dark to life sublime?
We turn to beacon shines from Calvary’s hill
Where light from Cross will penetrate our night,
And death forever there will our sin kill
While Holy Spirit’s breath restores our sight.
We see dispelled the darkness of that wind
Was breathed from Satan’s fangs that caused our fall,
And now new dawn brought by the Son begins—
A new creation made through Him for all.
Our Father through His Son by Spirit shows
The light of life eternal we can know.
Eternal Life for Each One Birthed
How fleeting is the life we live
When all we see is life on earth
And fail to see to all He gives
Eternal life for each one birthed.
Our life on earth an ante-room
Where we’re made fit to live with Him,
And hope removes the circling gloom
When all earth seen as Bethlehem.
For into stable He calls all,
And we step in eternity;
An open gate in Garden wall
Makes all our eastern lands sin-free.
Then as we travel o’er our time
In every minute heaven see,
As woven into heaven’s rhyme
Is who each one is meant to be.
Love Has Never Been So Sweet
The mountains run with wine so sweet
To quench the thirst for His shed Blood,
And when we drink, New Adam meet—
Will stand with Him where His Cross stood.
His whole creation welcomes Him
Through whom the Father, Spirit breathed;
His old made new in Bethlehem,
As world is by His Spirit wreathed.
His wakened waters sing His song;
New life arises from its waves,
And death of sin for which we’ve longed
Is left by Him within His grave.
And now the wine that is His Blood
Flows in our hearts where Him we meet,
As we stand where His Mother stood
Where love has never been so sweet.
Free From Adam’s Past
At last I see Your death in me:
With You I’m crucified.
On Cross to You I bend my knee
And in Your life abide.
For crucifixion is the way
That I can live with You;
In death with You, You have Your say,
And I taste life anew.
With death my sin at last will end,
And I am born anew;
Raised with You I begin again—
New Eden I can view.
When Resurrection I can taste,
I long for it to last;
In Christ with others share His fate—
We’re free from Adam’s past.
Open Our Locked Gate
Old Eden’s gate is locked within our hearts,
And only You have key it will unlock
To enter and to us new life impart
And with Your key, Your Cross, temptation block.
For Devil wants no part of Your new life
In us which from Your empty tomb bequeathed
To all who turn from Devil’s dark to light,
As sin within our hearts we deeply grieve.
For grief is gift to us of Triune Love
When we from You have turned our hearts away,
And looked below and failed to look above
And miss the dawn You offer each new day.
But now dawn floods in us through open door,
And we know joy You give to spirits poor.
Wrapped In Light
Who is this comes to us all wrapped in light
That does not blind, illumines every nook,
To show is hidden here eternal life
Where we with worldly eyes have failed to look?
This light that comes illuminates our past
To see things we had never seen before
And will in heaven’s light forever last,
And we will know we’ll never ask for more.
For this light’s full of all we’ll ever need
And yet in us will never cease to grow,
As watered by the Blood our Savior bleeds,
His truth, forever growing, we will know.
With heaven’s light in radiance we’re wrapped round,
As truth and beauty all of us surrounds.
THE GARMENT OF TRUTH
Please make your truth my garment worn within
To cloak my heart from inside will turn out,
As you from deep in me cast out my sin.
With love you make me who I’ve always been—
Your mercy for me never leaves a doubt;
Please make your truth my garment worn within
As I, immersed in grace, will help you mend
The world, no longer Satan’s strong redoubt,
As you from deep in me cast out my sin;
And joined with all who in you are your kin
Together will ascend your holy mount;
Please make your truth my garment worn within
That I no longer may with lies pretend
That I alone can Satan’s armies rout,
As you from deep in me cast out my sin.
May I from you breathe in our Father’s Wind
And learn what life on earth is all about.
Please make your truth my garment worn within
As you from deep in me cast out my sin.
