The Glory of the Lord

The glory of the Lord is seen
In Jesus risen from the dead,
Salvation for what’s always been
His good creation to Him wed.

For spotless was creation made—
A Bride for Father through His Son—
Without our sin to cast a shade
On what Our Father had begun.

But we surrendered to the lie
Of him who had before rebelled,
Then for our sin we all must die
For cast on world was Devil’s spell.

But Devil through us can’t destroy
The goodness in creation made,
And Son comes in us to employ
Our flesh to vanquish sinful shade.

He dies and rises from the grave
In fleshly Body glorified
And with Him all creation raise
As through His death our sin has died.

Now Jesus’ glory will be seen
In all surrender to His will,
And glory’s good that’s always been
Our sin and Devil cannot kill.

One of a Kind

Who is this person I’ve become,
As One I cleave to lives in me?
I opened heart, and He has come
From sin and death to set me free.

My hope of glory is in Him
Who dies in me to live again,
As I become His Bethlehem
From Mary born and free from sin.

Then from His Cross I’m taken down
And placed with Him in garden tomb—
With Him await His glorious crown
As our grave is as Mary’s womb.

In me He’s born again to live
His life in me, one of a kind,
And He through me uniquely gives
To world His gifts of heart and mind.

Hallowed Is the First Day

Your work is done on this the seventh day,
And You now rest (as You Three rested then)
In death, where even now You’ll have Your way
And will awake with us now freed from sin.

The first day of the week will hallowed be,
For on that day You’ll rise beyond the grave,
And we a new creation then can see–
A world again becomes Your Church’s nave.

On earth on holy altar You will come
From cross raised only once but for all time,
Where bread and wine Your Body, Blood become
To create family in New Adam’s line.

When Sunday dawns and You awake from sleep,
You’ll hold us all forever in Your keep.

Light in the Storm

Whenever storms of life do come,
The Lord in storm’s cloud is concealed
To teach me truth that joins the sum
Of all He has to me revealed.

He shows me one more foreign god
That’s wormed its way into my life,
Now is cast down beneath the sod
To Hell’s dark death where there’s no light.

No alien will in me now live
For I am to be His alone,
And He to me Himself now gives:
Once more I know my sin’s atoned.

My heart is now made soft for Him–
In me subdues my every foe;
His light in me, no longer dim,
Shines through me to the world His glow.

Dreams of Truth

You did not show to us Your truth
     To hoard it in our hearts,
For of our dreams it is the proof
     That You’re there from the start.

We’ve dreamed of day when goodness reigns
     In beauty all around,
When truth’s proclaimed in joyful strains
     And love on earth abounds.

The silver dreams of fairy tales
     Fulfilled by You in gold;
Your dreams we have in us won’t fail
     And never will grow old.

For every day they’re born anew
     In hearts that for truth long,
Where beauty, goodness are in view
     And we know we belong.

For heaven is for us our home,
     Where earth is meant to be,
And You to us through dreams say “Come,
     Live with me and be free.”

Endless Easter Day

We step into an endless day
     That knows no night of sin,
For we have stepped into the way
     Of Him who’s born again.

With us He stepped out from the grave
     Into the early morn
And beckons all whom He will save–
     With Him to be reborn.

The burden of our guilt is gone,
     Left in His open tomb;
New life for which we’ve always longed
     Has left behind our gloom.

For all creation is renewed—
     He opens Eden’s gate,
Pulls Eden through to life anew–
     To Heaven’s feast awaits.

The Supper of the Lamb is served;
     We take His Body, Blood,
Far more than we ourselves deserve–
     Partake of Heaven’s food.

Then endless days for us ahead
     Call us to lasting joy,
For Jesus is our Body’s Head:
     All praise to Mary’s Boy!

Divine and Human Born

In Him we see One fully human born—
The purpose of the Father manifest;
With truth He means to each of us adorn

So we no longer need ourselves to mourn,
For our life here is never meaningless;
In Him we see One fully human born.

Before in time we see His mantle worn
By Mary, welcomes Him with sinless “yes;”
With truth He means to each of us adorn.

The veil between our earth and heaven torn
As He to Eden’s East brings hopefulness:
In Him we see One fully human born.

We’re now in Eden’s East no more forlorn
For death is seen as end of Satan’s mess;
With truth He means to each of us adorn.

We walk with Him in Resurrection morn–
With Him, divine, through Mary will each bless;
In Him we see One fully human born;
With truth He means to each of us adorn.

Sow Your Crop in Me

Lord help me want to do Your will
     That Your will I may know,
For of myself I’ve had my fill;
     No more myself will sow.

May my heart be surrendered now,
     My false self to be lost;
May my will be to let You plough
     And never count the cost.

Please, in me sow Your holy crop
     And then Your harvest reap.
Don’t let me in self Your will stop–
     In Your hands my will keep.

At last, please gather in Your barn
     Your harvest of my life,
As I find of my sin I’m shorn
     And I am Your delight.

His Miracle

A miracle we long to see
     Before our very eyes
And never knew that one could be
     Right there to our surprise.

His miracle in every face
     Is Jesus shining through,
An everlasting sign of grace
     That’s old and always new.

His miracle will never die
     But rise beyond the grave
With body new–in grave won’t lie:
     In Him we will be saved.

Zion’s Road

In every heart is Zion’s road
     That two are meant to walk;
Alone we bear a heavy load
     And on it Devil stalks.

But on that road we’re joined by One
     Who bore His Cross for us;
He’s walked the road that we’ve begun,
     And in Him we can trust.

In every step along the way,
     The lighter our load grows
As we let Jesus have His say—
     The best for us He knows.

And when we to Jerusalem come
     We praise His holy name,
For with Him we ourselves become,
     And that is why He came.
