O Lord, save us from garden we have grown
O’er run with weeds, a crop you have not sown,
But planted by our sin and Devil’s own
Temptation of our mother, all alone.
Please rescue her through crop of Second Eve
Sown in the soil of Nazareth by One
Who came to Mary, asked her own free leave
To mother be of Father’s only Son.
Through Vine that sprouts in Bethlehem, entwine
All people here choked by our weeds of sin,
And grow good fruit on branches of that Vine
So Eve may eat of your Life Tree again–
Then Mother Eve may sons and daughters claim
Through Cross and Mary in Your Holy Name.

Our Lady of Peace
The peace that comes from Mary’s “yes”
Is that for which our hearts all yearn–
The end of all our earthly quest
To feel the love within Him burns
For us, our sin to sear away,
And we like Mary all become
With hearts that never tell Him “nay,”
So in us He may make His home.
We thank you, Mary, for His peace
Brought into world by your consent;
The love of Father is released
By Spirit, brings His Son He sent
Who’s raised above as heaven’s King.
You join Him there, as heaven’s Queen,
Who rules on earth as angels sing:
Make true the peace for which we dream.

Triune Love
To see the whole, we through a family look
As child with mother, father, mirror Him
Who’s Three-in-One with Son; from Mother took
Our human nature in us had grown dim–
In her restored–Immaculate conceived
Is full of grace where Eden new abounds
In nature she from Him for us received
To give again to Him who gives her crown.
As Queen, bestows her favors on us all,
And she with Jesus, Joseph, family three
Join every family with those Three who call
To all who will through every family see
The Father, Son, and Spirit–live above
And raise us all to join their Triune love.
The Woman of All Prophecies
The Woman in all prophecies gives birth
To Him not from this earth
Who comes to crush the head
Of him caused us to be among the dead,
Who tricked First Eve and us to mortal sin,
Whose own defeat gives us our hope again.
Our Second Eve’s an advocate, becomes
For her cast from our home
With husband, Adam, dies,
Participates with her in Satan’s lies
And wanders with us all in Eden’s East
From Tree of Life, denied intended feast.
Now second chance for all our human race
From Mary, Full of Grace.
In stable under Star
With Wise and Shepherds we come from afar
To Mother, Father, with God’s Son to see:
Through them we’re taken into Trinity.
Gentle Word
His still, small voice breaks silence of the night
In Bethlehem, while in His Mother’s arms,
And stars outside the stable give their light:
Show Joseph there, protects them from all harm.
His gentle sounds from crib belie His strength,
Rests in His Truth, for He’s the Way, the Life;
To save us He will go to any length,
Will cleanse our hearts, the origin of strife.
For in His peace we see the world anew—
An Eden glimpse of far side of the Fall—
Yet, not behind, but future through Him view
His promise: He will save us after all.
For in that still, small voice to us He gives
What we need most—His Word says, “I forgive!”
Mary’s Lullaby
In one unguarded moment, sound so faint
Strikes heart’s true ear—to Word of God once tuned—
As Mary’s lullaby for us God paints
With pictures in her song that makes us swoon.
There, stretched across the sky of our own minds,
We see a rainbow’s strings of Noah’s hues,
And dove flies back and forth on heaven’s wind
To strum a melody both old and new.
The fragrance of that song from Eden wafts
O’er gate and angel, bars from paradise
All us in Adam born, so we can laugh
With joy as we are carried home in Christ.
May Mary’s song be our new lullaby
While with her Son we in his manger lie.
NINTH DAY OF CHRISTMAS
Blessed Theotokos
Blessed Theotokos, closest to God’s heart,
Who human life imparts
To Him, our nature needs
From us, so He can for us lifted bleed–
Pray we with you be drawn to wounded side
Of Him who for us all here suffered, died.
Blessed Theotokos, hold Him to your breast
From crib to final rest
He takes in borrowed grave
To bury sin and from that serpent save.
Pray our hearts with your heart in grave with Him
Will find in tomb the birth of Bethlehem.
Blessed Theotokos, present there with John,
Whose faith in Risen One
In garden Easter morn
Proclaims you first in Him to be reborn.
Pray seeing not with fleshly eyes, yet we
With your pure heart His Risen Body see.
Blessed Theotokos in that upper room,
Whose faith dispells our gloom,
Lead constantly in prayer
All those in hearts with you are gathered there.
Pray Spirit brings your Son to dwell in us,
As with you we God’s Holy Spirit trust.
MARY, THE HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, JANUARY 1ST
God’s Three
A husband and his wife await
The birth of God’s own Son
Who comes to us through heaven’s gate:
Those three are also one.
Our human family now remade
In Holy Family three–
Brings light in dark to Eden’s shade
To make us all sin free.
Of One above their likeness here
Shows three they also are.
By them in Baby they draw near;
We’re guided by a Star.
God’s Three to stable summon us
As two now three become;
Their Baby is the One we trust
To take us safely home.
We join with Angels, Shepherds, Wise
To sing our human praise;
We’ll once again see heaven’s skies
And live in endless days.
With Him in crib again we lie
And rise with Him from tomb;
Our sinful selves will with Him die,
Be born from Mary’s womb.
A new creation of us springs
From Trinity above;
Through Holy Family’s open ring
We’re raised to endless love.
HOLY FAMILY SUNDAY
Rejoicing With Mary
The Son of One who spreads the heavens broad
Is born of Mary, in a manger laid;
Within our world comes One who is our Lord,
Born with consent of chosen Virgin Maid.
All heaven and all earth with her rejoice
When she receives the Son who saves us all.
He comes to us through Mary’s human choice–
Will come to those on Him through Mary call.
From Jesus and His Father through her “yes”
We then receive their Spirit, brings Him nigh–
Makes every day with them a Christmas fest
As Adam Old in us on His Cross dies.
We rise with Him in stable to us comes,
And earth is taken into heaven’s home.
