OUR LIFE COMPLETE

We yearn for life to be complete
With sin forever wiped away,
And virtues in us are replete
As dawn breaks on an endless day.

That longing is for Him alone,
For only He can make us right
And for our sin on Cross atone–
Remove from us the Devil’s blight.

Come, Holy Spirit, with us soar
With Virgin Mother to His side
Where we all come with spirit’s poor
And riches find when we abide.

He then completes our life, earth-born,
But destined to in heaven live,
And all our sin by Cross is shorn,
As we have learned He us forgives.

WISDOM OF THE COMMON FOLK

In three the wisdom of all people found,
Known by the common folk in every age,
Who will not by the enemy be bound
But seek escape from sin, the Devil’s cage.
In every age, we in old Adam’s line
Embrace the One from Abraham comes down
Through Jesse’s root and David–will now find
The One earth’s thorns will wear as kingly crown.
He’s nestled now all snug in Mother’s arms,
Watched over by her husband, sees their star,
And knows these three come not to do Him harm
But worship Him for all who’re near and far.
The wisdom of these three we all receive;
By fallen one no longer are deceived.

ROSE AND LILY

A Rose’s Bud is born in Bethlehem
From Lily who to Gabriel said “yes,”
And all are grafted to this Bud’s new stem
Who’s born this day to all creation bless.
His Rose, her Lily will forever be
Our Father’s Word and one who Him receives
For all who yearn to live in heaven free
From sin and lies of one comes to deceive.
Our “yes” joins hers who for us shows the way
To Him, the Way, who to the Father leads,
Who will through Son in us have final say,
As He in us will rise, who for us bleeds.
His Rose with Lily’s nature won’t stay dead;
With Rose’s blood at table we are fed.

HE SANCTIFIES OUR DUST

We have succumbed to Devil’s lie
And think we are like grass–
In daylight grows and then will die,
     And all of it so fast.

But we have been mistaken here
For we forever live;
When we know this we shed our tears
     And ask God to forgive.

For our hearts long to live with Him
    Who sent His Son to us;
We’re born with Him in Bethlehem
     Who sanctifies our dust.

Then we will on to glory go
     As we are changed inside,
And ever after we will know—
     In Him we all abide.

THE ONE YOU’VE SOUGHT TO FIND

O Lord, make each a Noah now
As we begin anew;
Let us to Holy Spirit bow
And through Him worship You.

Each day may our own flood abate
And wash away our dross;
Then with your virtue satiate–
Renew what we thought lost.

May Ark of Church sail into dawn
As each day rises new,
And we know we to You belong–
As new as morning dew.

And when the time for each has come
To leave this earth behind,
May we know we’ve at last become
The one you’ve sought to find.

HOST, A BURNING BUSH

When Host is raised, I see a Burning Bush
In Spirit’s flame brings Him whom we consume,
Who in us will that serpent’s head now crush
And lift from hearts our Eve’s and Adam’s gloom.
With east wind comes to fan in us His flame
To light the world with heaven’s morning glow,
Began when with the Virgin’s “yes” He came
And brought to us Himself we all can know.
A fire within us purifies our hearts,
And conscience, reason in our image raised–
Were there in His creation from the start–
As old becomes a new creation saved.
He comes within the Host we now adore
With Father and His Spirit in fire poured.

RICH WITH SPIRITS POOR

Your winds Your messengers become
To send your love on angels’ wings,
So Mary can embrace your Son,
And heaven will her praises sing.

With “Yes” receives she Him who comes
To save us all from Satan’s lie,
And Satan’s cords ’round us undone,
As she sees Son with faithful eyes.

Through Jesus she adopts us all—
Her children to forever be—
Are rescued from Old Adam’s fall,
From sin and death to set us free.

To Jesus through His Mother go
All those who step through stable door,
Find Him whose love no boundaries knows:
In Him we’re rich with Spirits poor.

YOUR LIGHT WILL NEVER MIX

Your light with darkness will not mix,
For darkness is the Devil’s brew;
He tries on us his hellish tricks,
Prefers his gloomy, greyish stew.

Then we succumb to tempter’s voice
And fall into his greyish goo;
Damnation is our freedom’s choice–
Find we’re enslaved and choice we rue.

But Jesus comes and we can choose
His Cross to kill our sinful life;
His new life comes when life we lose,
And we see dawn brings us new light.

Now darkness in us fades away,
As light comes down and bids us rise;
For Jesus is for us the way
To Eden New, our paradise.

WALK WITHIN MY SOUL

O Lord, come walk within my soul
And change me from the inside out,
That soul and body may be whole,
And I am one within, without.

May I not lack a living guide
Who lights my way each step by step,
Communes with me down deep inside,
Awakens virtue that had slept.

Through eyes are yours may I see truth
Unites me with your world around,
Perceive in me your timeless proof
That grace around us all abounds.

And when that time to all us comes
To walk with you through Heaven’s gate,
May I find that I have become
The one for whom our Father waits.

Holy Family

Oh, Holy Family, intercede,
Pray for us here below;
For human family Jesus bleeds,
Salvation we may know.

May we all be one family
Through Church, our Savior’s Bride;
Teach all of us humility,
In Jesus all abide.

May we forget about the past,
Forgive each other’s sins;
Let Son for us the future cast,
Make whole world new again.

Oh, Holy Family, draw us in
Through your own ceaseless prayers
To your new life that’s free from sin
And from the Devil’s snares.

St. Joseph, our protector be
And guard us with your hands,
That through each one of us all see
Messiah’s holy land.

Dear Mary, hold us in you lap,
Give us a mother’s love,
And when it’s time to wake from nap,
Show us the Spirit’s Dove.

Lord Jesus, God in human flesh,
Impart to us your Self–
Your Sacred Heart with our hearts mesh
In perfect human health.

Oh, Holy Family, pray that we
Be lost in Trinity;
There find ourselves with you–
Be free for all eternity.
