The Spirit’s Music

I feel the Spirit’s touch on my heart strings
As He blows through the Virgin’s heart to mine,
And through her, risen heart of Jesus brings
His song that He may play in my own time.

With my consent He plays His song in me
And through me with His words His wisdom weaves
To paint a picture on His tapestry:|
A vision of the whole we can receive.

From dawn to dusk and through the night He plays
With richness of His multi-colored love,
As He in His creation with us stays
To ever more reveal His treasure trove.

His Spirit with His music glory paints
In every heart with love that’s never faint.

In God’s Image

Let us go forward to what is
     And leave what’s not behind;
For our Old Adam never was
     God’s plan for humankind.

He meant for us to be with Him
     In circle of God’s love:
A triune likeness free from sin
     With hearts shaped from above.

But we chose not to Him obey
     And chose to be what’s not,
Which let the Devil have his way
     And who we are forgot.

To rescue us God sent His Son
     Who freely chose to come–
Was welcomed by God’s holy one:
     Ties to our past undone.

Now we are free to forward go,
     Become who really are;
Old Adam dies, new seed God sows,
     Behind leaves what we were.

For who we were was never real;
     We can’t our own truth make,
And now God’s truth in us revealed;
     We leave behind self-hate.

When we love God, we love ourselves,
     An image of Himself;
Through Holy Family we’re made well–
     Restored to Eden’s health.

Holy Spirit’s Dwelling Place

Where is the Spirit’s dwelling place
     On earth where mortal’s live?
Is there among us sacred space
     Where God His Spirit gives?

With open eyes we Mary see
     Where Spirit is at home–
Brings Jesus for nativity
     Who one of us becomes.

In Mary, Spirit comes to earth,
     Proclaims where He will be:
In every woman He is birthed;
     In them we Spirit see.

To dwell with men in woman lives,
And they bring Him to us;
In every woman Father gives
His Spirit to entrust.

So, man, ask not where Spirit is
     Among us mortals here,
For every woman’s heart is His,
     And each should hold Him dear.

The Dawn of Truth

How desperately we try to hold
To what is sinful in our past,
But dawn will not our dark enfold
For sin in light will never last–

His dawn that enters in our life
Proclaims the night is now far gone,
And truth that is His guiding light
Is that for which we’ve always longed.

His light is heaven’s harbinger
Where His truth lives in glory full;
In hearts He shines His Morning Star
And shadows wain, begins light’s rule.

Forgetting past we press ahead
And leave Old Adam in Christ’s grave;
He tries to haunt, but he is dead
And cannot his sin ever save.

For Adam New from grave steps forth
And in each lives His life unique:
Eternal life begins on earth
As Father’s glory each one greets.

Our Lady of Mt. Carmel

Carmel is place Our Lady’s flower grows
     With blossoms purple, blue,
     Where we her Son can know
And join with her in life of Adam New,
As she sits next to Him on mercy seat
Where in their hearts their love for us now meets.

Both listen to the prayers of St. Therese–
     Requests from them a rose–
     For she won’t ever rest
‘Til all the world will our New Adam know
With Mother who is His and also ours,
As all the world is covered with her flow’rs.

Perfect Image

Come, lead us where still waters flow
     To cover us in death
That water’s life we then may know:
     Restored in Jesus’ birth–

A Second Adam from above
     Through woman truly free.
Surrendered to the Spirit’s Dove,
     With eyes of faith she sees–

A sight with eyes for us unveiled
    In welcome for God’s Son.
Her human womb His holy grail;
     Her blood with  His made one–

Made one but not confused in Him:
     One Person, natures two
In perfect harmony within,
     His purple and her blue–

Her blue in Him for all restores
     Our Eden’s perfect race
With spotless Image we adore:
     See Jesus’ human face.

Earth Welcomes Heaven

May we on earth to heaven’s sky
With Mary welcome Him who comes
To save us all from Satan’s lie
With Truth that’s Serpent’s knot undone.

Untwisted now their love we know
From Holy Three through Mother’s Son,
Who comes to sinful realm below,
And in our earth His victory’s won.

Outside, His water o’er us poured
While inside Spirit splashes wet
To cleanse away that sinful sore
And suture wound with His own net.

Our earth made fit to come aboard
His Ark will sail to Heaven high—
His Church whose captain is our Lord,
From Father sent to bring earth nigh.

Rejoice, O earth, within us saved
By Holy Three through Mary’s “yes.”
Through grave our earth is with Him raised:
Our earth forever heaven’s guest.

Mystical Rose

The present and eternity are mine
Because they are your gift for everyday
When I surrender past and future–find
Your Mother in my present with me stays.

For You–one day is once but for all time–
Give her to us forever Mother be;
Eternity and present in her rhyme:
Your heaven’s Mother now is here for me.

And when your New Jerusalem descends
To take all time into eternity,
No longer will the future, past contend;
Forever I with her Your glory see.

Forever present, Mother, hold me close
As heaven, earth here meet in Mystical Rose.

Cosmic Words

Young Mary spoke a cosmic word,
     Said once but for all time,
As welcomed she our world’s true Lord
     Into its stormy clime.

The word she uttered let Him speak
     His Word to still our storm.
What we thought strong was to Him weak;
     His strength saves us from harm.

Now Mary sits at His right side
     With Mother’s arms and lap.
Through her our present storms subside
     As His calm all us wraps.

It’s in that calm we leave our nets,
    Leave all to follow Him.
Like Mary, we our Lord have met–
     Allure of this world dim.

Then some day we will hear, “Well done!”
     As we are welcomed home.
Through us in storm has shone her Son,
     And we hear Him say, “Come.”

A Guest In Heaven’s Rest

In earthly house I am a passing guest,
     Will here know heaven’s rest
     When Holy Spirit breathes
New life from Father through His Son conceived
In Mary’s womb; His human nature formed
Gives us His life when we’re with Jesus born.

With Him I journey on my pilgrim way
     And hear Him to me say,
    “No longer need you fear
All things and people that bring human tears,
For I’ve defeated him who causes all
Your fear in human life since Adam’s fall.”

No longer should we here heed Satan’s lie
     And live in his pig stye,
     For his tongue has been pierced
By Jesus’ Cross as Michael’s sword is fierce,
And Satan who is master of deceit
To hell is cast and his defeat complete.
