Living Water

In desert lands a journey dry and hot
Is succored by a spring when all seems lost–
This Living Water where it should be not
And free from One’s already paid its cost.

This spring from Jordan flows from wounded side
Of Him was crucified to bring us life,
Who came to Eden’s East, with us abides
And shines through empty tomb to give us light.

So now in Eden’s East His new fruit grows
In fertile land from desert water makes,
And Son’s light shines to make the night-time glow
With stars their light from Bethlehem now take.

A banquet of His righteousness is laid
In us not overcast by our sin’s shade.

Lasting Providence

Your true and lasting providence
     Guides us along our way,
For nothing’s simply happenstance
     As You remold our clay.

From our conception we are Yours
To mold through Your Son’s hand
Who warns of Satan’s spiteful lures
     Whose promises seem grand.

And as we go our past we see
     Is bathed in saving light,
As to Your Son we bend our knee
Whose hand will make all right.

When our walk on Your earth is done
And we step through death’s door,
We’ll find on earth we’ve just begun
     Our life that’s evermore.

Open Door

Ahead we see an open door
     Raised high by priestly hand
That beckons us to come, adore,
     And enter Promised Land.,

We take and eat and enters us
The One who’s’ come to save–
Transforms in Him our earthly dust
     And raises us from grave.

For we’re too small to hold Him in
     And in Himself He takes
Each one of us to free from sin:
     A new creation makes.

That door through which we here can step
     Is entry to His life;
We leave behind the tears we’ve wept
     As we step into light.

The Church’s Ark

The Lord commands His heaven’s rain
     To cover all the earth,
For He of our sins is ashamed
     And longs for our re-birth.

A family saved on Noah’s Ark
Is meant for all of us,
For we on Church can now embark
     And leave behind sin’s dust.

Our sinful grime is washed away
     When we set foot aboard,
A wash that thwarts the Devil’s sway
     As we on Spirit soar.

For Ark by Spirit lifted high
     As sin is left behind
And we with joyful hearts will cry,
“We’re each one of a kind.”

For we have each become ourselves—
The ones we’re meant to be—
And Eden, which in each one fell,
     Restored for all to see.

Triune Love, Father, Son & Holy Spirit

SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY

When Jesus hangs on Cross, He’s our true vine
From whom will come the fruit of lasting life,
And fruit provides for us His Bloody wine
Brought by the Spirit who gives Father’s light.

Those Three who’re One are present with us now
When Wedding Feast of Lamb for us is spread
As we with spirits poor now humbly bow
And do not living seek among the dead–

For Jesus comes in glory of new life
Raised by the Spirit from His Father breathed
To shine on all the earth His heaven’s light
Made new by love around the world is wreathed.

Christ’s Body, raised by Spirit from above,
On altar comes to give their Triune love.

A Brand New Start

Lord, let me not depart from You,
For if I do I’ll lose my way
And wander where the skies aren’t blue
As clouds blot out the light of day.

Then night will come, and I’ll be lost,
And grope my way through dark as pitch
As chill will bring the Devil’s frost
And I’ll fall in the Devil’s ditch.

When all seems lost, I know Your hand
Will part the clouds within my heart
And dawn will lighten all the land
As You give me a brand new start.

For You will save me once again
As I walk in Your breaking dawn
With skies of blue and washed of sin;
The Devil from my life is gone.

Vision of His Whole

I searched for wisdom and I found God’s Son
Who came to me before I recognized
That He is wisdom and the only One
Who brings to us Himself because He dies

To live again and leave our sin in death–
And with it all the lies that Satan spawns–
To bring to all creation wisdom’s health
That’s present now in new creation’s dawn.

Reveals to us His vision from His heart
That earth is meant to be His heaven’s door
Through which He comes His wisdom to impart
To hearts who’ll welcome Him with Spirits poor.

He’ll give to us a vision of His whole
As beauty, truth before our eyes unfold.

Scripture and Tradition

From Scripture’s mountain, truths to valleys flow
To irrigate the desert, Eden’s East–
Is water for Tradition we can know
And kneel at table for His Gospel feast.

From Scripture through Tradition we can drink
His Word that flows inside us to forgive
Our sins and wash away the Devils stink–
That’s all his empty words will ever give.

For Living Water we can here receive–
In wonder of all wonders upward flows–
With Him was in His Mother’s womb conceived
To carry us to Father we can know.

His Water from His Scripture Spirit brings;
Tradition carries us where angels sing.

Laden With His Love

May I be like a laden olive tree
Weighed down with virtue as that tree with fruit.
A weight of glory makes me here sin-free
When I am grafted onto Jesus’ root–

A vine that ever grows in heaven’s soil
And breathes out heaven’s air to all the earth
To sanctify our East of Eden toil
And bring us all with earth to our new birth.

From glory into glory we will grow
As love and peace and joy enlarge our hearts,
And from His Cross we eat His fruit and know
That He gives each of us a brand-new start.

May I be ever laden with His love,
His fruit that comes from Jesus raised above.
