Good Seeds

Come, grow those good seeds I have sown
That Your good crop will choke the bad,
And I can see what You have grown
To conquer weeds that make me sad.

May harvest come that I can see
What You have done to save my soul;
At last I can be truly me
With soul and body make one whole.

May I taste resurrection here
And know what with You there awaits,
As You from me now take all fear
And with my family celebrate.

For family is where love abounds,
And each will always be with all,
For love unfettered knows no bounds
When voices one on You will call.

Your Temple In My Heart

In me rebuild Jerusalem’s walls
That I may be Your dwelling place,
Then You will be my all-in-all
So I may always see Your face.

Your temple build within my heart
So You may there with Father dwell
And words from You to me impart
That in me lingering doubts will quell.

May I to You be sacrifice
That You may take my heart as Yours
And cast from me my former vice
As virtues in me make me pure.

Then I will see Your providence
Has guided me my whole life through–
See all my life is not by chance
And I see all Your world anew.

A Mirror for Your Lamp

Lord, let me be a mirror for Your lamp
That I may You reflect to all the world,
So all may ‘round Your holy light encamp
As You dispel the gloom around earth swirls.

May virtue, knowledge from You through me shine
As I take my place in Your Church on earth,
She brings to us Your Blood in Your new wine
That we may die and rise in Your new birth.

For You enlighten everyone who’s born,
Though we are clouded in the dark of sin,
And Your light comes to lift us, once forlorn–
Enlightens image that has always been.

Your holiness from mirror here reflects
And joins together this life and the next.

A Fairy Tale Come True

In every heart lies deep within
     A fairy tale come true,
A glimpse of what there should have been
When world was fresh and new.

But into Satan’s sin we fell—
     With pride we were consumed—
And chose instead our own death knell
That brought to earth its gloom.

But Jesus down from heaven came—
     Our fairy tale come true—
For Son of God a man became
     Through Mother dressed in blue.

A fairy tale is told for us
     Incarnate in His Word
That we may enter it in trust
And live with Christ, our Lord.

For He takes us within His life,
     A fairy tale come true:
Our sin forgiven in His light,
Our world’s made fresh and new.

His Dove Descends

The deluge of the flood our race destroyed
Save those who were afloat on Noah’s Ark,
And when the flood abated God employed
A dove to bring His light to world once dark.

And now once more His dove to earth descends
On Son of God who to the world gives life–
Reveals to us the God who’s always been:
A Trinity of love who brings His light.

And now His light on world through Son will shine–
Redeems us all through Cross high on a hill,
And through an empty tomb brings us new wine
To make creation new as all He fills.

The dove from deluge past for us portends
A sinless new creation now begins.

Unmake Me, Lord

Unmake me, Lord, with Your sweet Cross
     That You may rise in me;
My worldly gain I count as loss:
From sin please set me free.

Now I consent to be un-done—
On Cross with You I die—
And when I am with You as one
Then I in Your grave lie.

But sweetness of the Cross reveals
     My true self who will rise;
With You I step from tomb unsealed,
     Am free from Satan’s lies.

And now I rest in Mother’s arms
     Held You in Bethlehem;
She keeps my new self free from harm
As me to world she sends.

The Story of Your Glory

Lord, let me know Your glory lives in me
For others who through me You plan to bless
That I may know the joy of bended knee
And see for sure what we can only guess.

For in each one You have revealed Yourself
With purpose for each child who’s ever born;
Your glory in each one is heaven’s wealth–
Will triumph over sin leaves us forlorn.

So we take heart, for glory always wins,
Casts out the Devil’s work within our hearts
And banishes forever all our sin
As You Yourself to each of us imparts.

The story of Your glory’s lived in each,
For each is destined ‘round Your throne to meet.

Our Lady’s Cloak

Elijah’s cloak is from Our Lady Fair—
Behind that cloak the prophet hid his face—
And heard the voice that came on Spirit’s air
To speak God’s Word that’s always full of grace.

The Word he heard in whispering sound is Son
Who came from heart of Father to us breathed,
And prophet will not be the only one
To whom our Father’s Spirit is bequeathed.

For Mary’s cloak is there to prophesy
The birth of Father’s Son in Bethlehem,
Who for us all will take His Cross and die
That all may have our life anew in Him.

The prophet’s vict’ry on Carmel was won
To prophesy the rising of God’s Son.

Wait Before the Lord

Be still before the Lord and wait,
And He will act in His good time
For in His plan He’s never late.

Our death eternal not our fate;
His plan for us is heaven’s clime.
Be still before the Lord and wait

For Son who comes is Father’s gate
To world of truth in Him sublime,
For in His plan He’s never late.

We never will be Devil’s bait
For Jesus says to each, “You’re mine!”
Be still before the Lord and wait

As world is purged of Devil’s hate
By Blood made from the earth’s own wine,
For in His plan He’s never late.

Our longing His truth satiates,
And in His truth new life we find.
Be still before the Lord and wait,
For in His plan He’s never late.

Banquet In My Heart

I want to have a banquet in my heart
For Him who is the Bridegroom of us all
That He may His new life to me impart
And I may follow His eternal call.

For time is hallowed when His banquet comes
To enter us through feast of bread and wine,
And as we taste His banquet we become
A branch that’s grafted onto His true vine.

And banquet from within us overflows
To feed the whole world He makes fresh and new,
For life comes with His truth we all can know
From banquet’s fruit of Tree of Life He grew.

New Tree of Life His food for banquet gives
That all may eat eternal life and live.
