Queen of the Most Holy Rosary

In joy and sorrow, light and glory, we
Participate with Mary in her life
With Jesus,  from consent through Calvary’s Tree—
She beckons us to follow her Son’s path
With her, to do what He tells us to do:
In decade after decade we should ask
For old creation to be made anew
In Triune love—was present at the first,
Created Adam, Eve to procreate
The human race’s heart with Triune thirst
For perfect love inside our Eden’s gate,
Now opened once again with Mary’s “Yes.”
See, Rosary’s the path fulfills our quest.

May I Be Your Bow

Lord, let me be a bow on which You count,
That arrows shot by You with me fly true
So truth through me will not bring any doubt
That what You say through me comes straight from You.

May I submit each day to cleansing breath
That Father breathes through You to make me pure,
So arrows shot with me will bring Your death
On Cross which is for sin Your only cure.

And then, I pray, aim true with Your new life
To bring to every heart You penetrate–
Will show to all that You are their true light
That comes from heav’n to save us from sin’s fate.

May I rejoice as You wax clean my string
That arrows shot from me will of You sing.

Creation All His Own

He rises and creation upward moves
To heaven, drawn by Him who conquered death
With heart so perfect, filled with Father’s love
As two breathe in and out the Spirit’s breath.

To water of the earth comes Holy Wind
And sanctifies all water with His Blood
To wash away all taint of Adam’s sin,
Prepare us to receive His Holy Food.

We eat and drink and life in Him we taste,
And we for life eternal are made new,
Then look and see all Eden cleansed of waste,
As all creation is from heaven viewed.

We look and see above the Kingly Throne
Of Him who stooped to make us all His own.

The Moon and Sun

I step into a starry night and see a moon
And blink my eyes, for in that moon is Lady Fair
Who stands all dressed in blue, then bows to ask a boon
From One whose glory she reflects in heaven’s air.

And then the melody of her gay laughter sounds,
As One, who o’er horizon stands within the sun,
Reminds her of a wedding feast where was not found
More wine, and she then asked a boon of Only Son.

For this is Heaven’s Queen I see, who’s always bathed
In radiance of her Son, forever gives her light—
His brilliance through His Mother whose sweet arms had swathed
Himself in clothes and nursed Him through His first earth’s night.

And now I know that boon she asked was just for me
Who have so lately learned to honor her as mine:
My Mother and of all her children who’re made free
From sin and Satan through Begotten’s wedding wine.

His Wind Blows Through My Soul

What is this Wind that courses through my soul
To pull me out and make me see the real
And put me in my place within the whole,
Recapture my heart Satan tried to steal?

He is the Holy Spirit breathed through Son
From Father, comes to cleanse me deep within
With fire to burn what Satan had begun
And cast in hell the Devil with my sin.

His wind pulls me in Holy Water deep
To wash my soul and cleanse me for His own
And lets me know that I am His to keep–
Will blossom new from seed that He has sown.

His wind and fire and water all cleanse me,
And I become who He wants me to be.

 Humility of the Little Flower

On the Occasion of St. Therese’s Feast Day, October 1st

Humility in love is you,
A Little Flower; for Him blooms
As in you His love we can view–
His light that penetrates our gloom.

Oh, what relief He brings to us
As we’re released from tyranny
Of self, when we in Jesus trust
And from our sin we are set free.

In Body, Blood to us He comes–
Our flowers watered with His life–
That we our new selves will become
And bring to world His heaven’s light.

Each one of us can take our place
On earth–becomes a garden fair–
To bloom as we’re wrapped in His grace,
No longer in the Devil’s snare.

Then when on earth our days are done,
We will join you with Him above;
Each flower has by Him been won:
We’ll cast to earth His risen love.

Freed from Sin

Inside I’m like a shattered potter’s jar;
Undone am I who God our Father made.
My worthless pieces should be cast afar,
Fit only to be scattered in sin’s grave.

But then I see a light invade my night
And in it see a nail-pierced human hand
Pick up my pieces and wash off my blight–
Again put me together as a man.

But man I see is new, is not old me,
With pieces sealed together by His Blood;
Now I am one He meant for me to be
In new creation born in Noah’s flood.

All earth has been by His own bleeding cleansed
And rises new from flood as it abates,
For He has freed us and all earth from sin
To make earth fit to be His heaven’s gate.

New heaven and new earth for us appear
With gate of earth to heaven opened wide
As earth no longer governed by her fears–
Gives heaven welcome to with her abide.

 Living Water

The desert of our sin is thirsty land
That longs for living water from Your well
Whose bucket will arise, drawn by Your hand–
Becomes a spring to water all in Adam fell.

May we then grow a crop of righteousness
That blooms with beauty in the coming dawn
And always keeps it’s roots in faithfulness
So we forever know to You we now belong.

Then grant us wisdom that we know Your mind
So You can water through us all the world
That Your spring water can each person find
To show each one of us that each is priceless pearl.

Cloaked in Humility

We long to be inside that gate
So we can know God’s love
Where Tree of Life for us awaits
     And we can look above.

But we too often  have looked down—
     In pride we’ve taken charge—
And in our sins our hope is drowned
     As sinful self enlarged.

Our god becomes our human strength
    But find it cannot lift
Ourselves from mire in which we sink
     And cry for Spirit’s gift.

And then from where we wish to be
     One comes in heaven’s cloak,
A garment of humility,
     From inside out it soaks.

For heart of Him within is great
     And colors what’s without;
In Him there is no room for hate
     Nor is their any doubt.

He for us is God’s Truth and Way—
The Life for which we’ve longed—
God’s Word for us has final say
    For to Him we belong.

Humility casts out our sin—
In Him we are sin free—
And gate is opened, we step in
To eat of His Life Tree.

We feast on risen Body, Blood—
     At last we truly live—
His key to gate is Holy Rood,
     And Paradise He gives.

Heaven’s Virgin Mother

The heavens parted, and I saw within
Our Virgin Mother, crowned as heaven’s Queen,
Who with her Son o’er Eden newly reigns:
New Adam and New Eve both free from sin.
The curtain in my heart began to close,
And to our Lord I made my fervent prayer
To let me always see His holy pair
As King and Queen of hearts—in their repose.
Then in a mighty wind His Spirit came
With His assurance that our Father’s love,
Descended to a Virgin on His Dove,
Will always part that curtain with Son’s name.
Please, Mother, pray His Spirit will descend
From Father through His Son to Eden mend.
