Blessed Mary, through your “yes” you offer all
Baptized to be with you—the ones who bear
God’s Son to save His world that lives in fear
Of death, which casts o’er all of us its pall
And causes us to further in sin fall,
Yet weep, because we do, more bitter tears.
For we in Image left hold life so dear
And know that death is not God’s final call.
Blessed Mary, pray that we may through you give
With ready hearts ourselves and consecrate
Those hearts to You to aid you in your task:
To bring to all of us His life who lives
Through you, then us, and raises Eden’s gate
To Tree of Life—no longer wears death’s mask.
