For mountain of Your kingdom, Lord, we long
When valleys of our lives become so deep,
And we, at last, know with You we belong
As we from crops we’ve sown now also reap.
We cannot by ourselves Your virtues grow
And need the rain that Holy Spirit brings
On seeds that in our hearts You only sow
To blossom with the fruit that You will glean.
For others we Your fruit will gladly bear
To share with all the joy that You will give
As You raise us from valleys’ deep despair
And take us to Your mountain top to live.
The valleys now we see have had Your grace
That cause us to look up and see Your face.
