What Our Eyes See

Can we believe what their eyes saw—
His Body raised beyond the grave,
A fact that breaks the natural law
By which ‘til now we’ve been enslaved?

Is death now for us overcome,
A trap we entered when we sinned,
That each of us can now become
Who God meant each one to have been?

Can we in Catholic Church place trust
In teaching truth they first proclaimed,
That Church will come and give to us
His Body, Blood of Him was slain?

Now we can see His Body raised
For us–appears at every Mass
To enter us and each one save:
A New Creation here at last!
