He came to make His home in Mary’s “Yes”–
Forever dwells with us in her consent–
A “Yes” in which all earth forever blessed,
And in her He will never strike His tent.
He’s come to give us Mary’s freedom now—
Was lost so long ago in Eden land
When Eve before the serpent her head bowed
And through her death came to our human band.
Yet, Mary’s “Yes” is here to make us free
To give consent with her for Him to come
And enter us when we will bend our knee
To Father, and ourselves in Him become.
His Spirit makes eternal Mary’s “Yes,”
And we are now by Spirit through her blessed.
