The Church’s Ark

The Lord commands His heaven’s rain
     To cover all the earth,
For He of our sins is ashamed
     And longs for our re-birth.

A family saved on Noah’s Ark
Is meant for all of us,
For we on Church can now embark
     And leave behind sin’s dust.

Our sinful grime is washed away
     When we set foot aboard,
A wash that thwarts the Devil’s sway
     As we on Spirit soar.

For Ark by Spirit lifted high
     As sin is left behind
And we with joyful hearts will cry,
“We’re each one of a kind.”

For we have each become ourselves—
The ones we’re meant to be—
And Eden, which in each one fell,
     Restored for all to see.
