My Sin Is Washed Away

My scarlet-colored sin is washed away
By Blood He shed on Cross at Calvary,
And now I pray with me He’ll have His way
And from my old creation set me free.

To be a creature new in Christ I long,
For with Him in me I won’t go astray,
As with Him to our Father I belong–
By Spirit know His Resurrection Day–

A Day that comes in me at Holy Mass
Where I consume His Body and His Blood
That from the inside wash away my past,
And with them His new life will in me flood.

Praise God for His new creature I’ve become,
As His Word says, “In you My will is done.”
